Lavender-infused Sparkling Apple Cider
Ingredients:
4 cups of apple cider
2 tablespoons dried culinary lavender buds
1 cup sparkling water or club soda
1/4 cup honey (adjust to taste)
1 lemon, thinly sliced
Ice cubes
Fresh lavender sprigs for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
In a small saucepan, combine the apple cider and dried lavender buds. Heat the mixture over low heat until it begins to simmer. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes, then remove it from the heat. Allow the lavender to steep in the cider for 10-15 minutes, depending on how strong you'd like the lavender flavor to be.
Strain the lavender-infused cider to remove the lavender buds. You can use a fine mesh strainer or a cheesecloth for this.
Let the lavender-infused cider cool to room temperature.
Once the cider has cooled, stir in the honey until it's fully dissolved. Adjust the sweetness to your liking.
Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour in the lavender-infused apple cider, leaving some room at the top.
Add a few slices of lemon to each glass for a citrusy twist.
Top off each glass with sparkling water or club soda, which adds a pleasant fizz to the drink.
Stir gently to combine all the ingredients.
Garnish with a fresh lavender sprig if you have one on hand, for an extra touch of elegance and aroma.
